Hi. My name is Kevin Wise, and I’m a software engineer with over 10 years experience in a range of domains – including web, educational multimedia, interactive TV, and electronic healthcare systems. Within those I’ve enjoyed a wide range of roles – including developer, trainer, consultant, business analyst and team lead.
In recent years I’ve found myself increasingly passionate about two ‘enablers’:
- Flex/Air – which enable even small teams to quickly build useful, engaging and attractive applications, which can be deployed either ‘in the cloud’ or right on the desktop.
- Agile methodologies (including management techniques such as Scrum, and development practices such as Test Driven Development) – which enable projects to proceed in a productive manner whilst embracing the fact that the goalposts are constantly moving (e.g. as the requirements become clearer as the software evolves, or when external factors change).
